CONGRATULATIONS: MR ANDREW MORAN KC … NOW JUSTICE ANDREW MORAN KC
The Residents and all at The Arbitration Chambers would like to congratulate our colleague, now “Justice” Andrew Moran KC, on his appointment as a Justice of the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance of the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts. Alongside his practice in International Maritime and Commercial Arbitration, as leading counsel and, since 2016, as a full-time arbitrator in these Chambers, Andrew has also been a part-time High Court Judge and Judge of Appeal, now in three different jurisdictions, for over 30 years, dealing with all manner of commercial disputes. He remains however, first and foremost, an international commercial arbitrator who will relish his complementary additional new role – which includes curial supervisory jurisdiction in arbitration cases seated in the DIFC. Alas therefore, he will undertake no more DIFC seated arbitrations – but only those are taboo!
